Several hundred K-2 educators from Virginia and other states joined us last Friday and Saturday at our Spring Institute in Richmond, VA to learn about teaching with literacy and math stations, and maximizing small group reading instruction. My sister, Sandy, made a surprise visit to our Institute and helped with registration on Saturday. She took the train from her home in Lancaster County, PA to Richmond just for fun, and loved meeting everyone, too.
We had an amazing time in Richmond– one we’ll never forget! The Jefferson Hotel provided lovely accommodations and a gorgeous ballroom in which we met (along with alligator tales).
