Spring Institute in Richmond, VA
April 21, 2010 by debbiediller
Several hundred K-2 educators from Virginia and other states joined us last Friday and Saturday at our Spring Institute in Richmond, VA to learn about teaching with literacy and math stations, and maximizing small group reading instruction. We’d like to thank the companies that supported us by providing wonderful door prizes, including:
My sister, Sandy, made a surprise visit to our Institute and helped with registration on Saturday. She took the train from her home in Lancaster County, PA to Richmond just for fun, and loved meeting everyone, too.
We had an amazing time in Richmond– one we’ll never forget! The Jefferson Hotel
provided lovely accommodations and a gorgeous ballroom in which we met (along with alligator tales). We’d love to hear from those of you who attended about how you put what you learned into action! Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
with your stories and pictures and we’ll post them. We plan to be back next spring for more literacy (and math) learning.
