I recently decided to teach a book study at the local teacher center on Spaces and Places, with the books supplied for participants. The outline in the book helped me immensely plan how to construct the sessions, and I am fortunate enough to have a copy of Launching Literacy Stations. The first session was last night, and I have to say that the 24 teachers in attendance were totally inspired and enthusiastic. I encouraged them to take before pictures, and I hope to have some changes to show you soon. If you have any other advice, I would welcome any and all suggestions. I now have a request for a similar book study for grades 4-6 teachers. I am looking forward to the challenge.
This is great to hear about, Sue! Thanks for sharing how your book study went. I was a literacy coach before starting my consulting business, so I built book study tools into my books. I used to hate having to create my own questions. (:
Can’t wait to hear about your grade 4-6 grade study group.

do you know where she got that small canoe for her listening center? I’m thinking of doing the same thing but not sure where to start looking. I wanted something cheap.
