Another new book from Charlesbridge Publishers is One Big Rain: Poems for Rainy Days compiled by Rita Gray. The poems are arranged by season. Here’s an untitled one from the “Winter” section:
Blizzard
winds
while a
sparrow
scratches
the snow
for summer.
-Richard Lewis
I love the spare simplicity of this one.
I love that one. I just read this book recently, and that was one of my favorite poems in it. Lovely book!
